The young Czech designer duo Linda Vránová and Michaela Dolezalova brought their personal Czech master glassblowers to Lommel. There the foursome designed a new series of colorful vases and trophies for the GlazenHuis.
Linda Vránová is the designer of Lasvit, a London-based company. She graduated from the Product Design Studio at UMPRUM under Michal Froňek and Jan Němeček. She also graduated from Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Czech Technical University in the studio of Marian Karel. As part of her studies at UMPRUM, she did a semester internship at K.O.V with Eva Eisler. She also did a semester internship at the IADE University in Lisbon, Portugal. With her diploma thesis “Birth of light” she was nominated among the finalists in the Stanislav Libenski Award in 2017 and Diploma Selection in Designblok 2016.
