The goal of this 2-days workshop, taught by Sam Aldridge (USA), is refining the basic skills and shapes of glass blowing (e.g. tumblers, bowls and bottles). This workshop will use Edward Schmid’s iconic books on glassblowing as a step-by-step guide through the process. Instructions will be personalized to build on individual skills and one-on-one time. You will go home with an elevated skillset and solutions to your common struggles. Keep in mind that the focus is on the process not on the product.
Sam Aldridge has been blowing glass for over 15 years with professional experience at Silver Dollar City, Missouri and Soneva Fushi Glass Studio, Maldives. Sam Aldridge is GlazenHuis’ current Artist in Residence and co-producer of the exhibition The Holy Grail.
